соленые озера египта в оазисе сива

The Siwa Oasis is the only place in Egypt where you can find such a variety of healing springs, each with its own unique properties:

1. Cleopatra’s Spring

This thermal spring is considered one of the most popular in Siwa. According to legend, this is where Cleopatra and Alexander the Great once bathed. The spring water has a unique mineral composition that helps improve circulation, benefits the skin, and promotes overall relaxation. Its coolness in summer and mild warmth in winter make bathing here especially comfortable.

2. Hot and Cold Springs

Siwa has both hot and cold mineral springs. Hot water helps relax the muscles, improve circulation, and relieve stress, while cold water has an anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates metabolic processes, and tones the skin. These springs are traditionally used for thermal treatments and wellness programs.
One of the hot springs, right out in the desert, is called the “Russian Spring,” since it was discovered by Russian researchers, and we always make a stop here during our jeep safari through the Libyan Desert at sunset, to wash the sand off and simply unwind at the end of the day

3. Salt Lakes and the Salt Cave

Besides the classic springs, Siwa also has salt lakes whose water is extraordinarily rich in minerals. Bathing in these lakes benefits the skin, helps with the treatment of dermatological conditions, and improves blood circulation. The salt cave also deserves special mention - here, the elevated concentration of mineral particles in the air and water may help improve the health of the respiratory tract and the immune system.
