🌊 Nun and Naunet - the waters of the primeval ocean, the endless abyss
⌛️ Huh and Hauhet - timelessness and infinity
🌌 Kuk and Kauket - the darkness that covered everything before the appearance of light
☀️ Amun and Amaunet - the hidden power, the invisible breath of creation
This was the chaotic, formless state of the Universe before order came into being
In the primeval waters of the ocean of chaos, Nun, all eight deities unite into a great force, from which the first mound of earth emerges - the Mound of Creation
On the Mound of Creation, a primeval lily blossoms - a pure symbol of life - and from the radiance of the flower the power of sacred Atum is born
Atum is the beginning, a point of stillness, not yet manifest in the outer world, yet already containing within itself the whole potential of creation 🙌🏻
Atum creates the first pair of gods - the goddess of moisture Tefnut and the god of air Shu - and they, in turn, create the next pair - the god of the earth Geb and the goddess of the sky Nut
And so the great expanse of life and creation is born ♥️
The priests kept the secret of the world’s creation and of the highest wisdom here, and the god Thoth was the link between the Ogdoad and the nascent power of light ✨
Thoth was not merely an observer of creation - he was the mind that shaped chaos into harmony
The god Thoth inscribed the names of the gods into the Book of Eternity, and his consort, the goddess Maat, upheld world order and balance ⚖️
This pair were like breath and sound
Maat breathed harmony, and Thoth caught its rhythm and turned it into the word
The word became light, light became form, and form became reality 🌹
