This program combines the grandeur of ancient monuments, the beauty of desert landscapes, and the authenticity of oasis life. Every day reveals new facets of Egypt - from the legends of Alexander the Great to the fantastical landscapes of the White Desert

Day 1. Cairo → Bahariya Oasis

An early departure from Cairo into the Western Desert. The drive takes about 4–5 hours and gradually takes us from the bustling metropolis into the quiet of the oasis.
Bahariya Oasis is a small but picturesque oasis surrounded by palm groves and sand dunes. Here we will visit the following places:
• The Valley of the Golden Mummies - an archaeological sensation of the late 20th century. Hundreds of beautifully preserved mummies with gold masks and jewelry were found here. The mysterious atmosphere transports you to the era of Roman Egypt
• The Golden Mummies Museum - a small exhibition displaying the archaeologists’ finds.
• The ruins of the Temple of Alexander the Great - a rare monument, the only temple in Egypt dedicated to Alexander.
• A swim in healing hot springs, where the water is rich in minerals.
• A climb up English Mountain - a site where British troops were stationed in the early 20th century. The summit offers a stunning view of the oasis and the desert sunset.

Day 2. Bahariya → Black Desert → Agabat → White Desert

The morning begins with an exciting off-road drive into the heart of the desert.
The Black Desert - a fantastical landscape dotted with black volcanic hills covered in basalt stones
Agabat (the Valley of Wonders) - one of the most picturesque spots, where sand dunes meet bizarre limestone cliffs. It’s especially beautiful in the midday light
Onward to the White Desert - a unique natural park. Enormous chalk formations, carved by wind and time, resemble animals and fantastical creatures. It feels like stepping onto another planet
In the evening - dinner by a campfire under an endless sky full of stars.

Day 3. White Desert → Farafra Oasis

We greet the morning among snow-white fairy-tale formations - sunrise in the White Desert is truly special.
We move on to Farafra Oasis, one of the most secluded oases in Egypt, where we’ll visit:
The Badr Museum - an amazing place showcasing the work of a local self-taught artist. He creates sculptures and paintings from the desert’s natural materials: sand, clay, and ceramics. The museum’s atmosphere is unique and deeply reflects the spirit of the Sahara

Day 4. Farafra → Dakhla Oasis

The journey continues through the sands to Dakhla Oasis, one of the greenest and most fertile oases in the Western Desert.

Here’s what awaits us:
A visit to the old Islamic town of Qasr El-Dakhla - a maze of narrow streets, mud-brick houses, and ancient mosques
An excursion to the Deir el-Hagar temple, built in Roman times and dedicated to the god Amun
An ethnographic museum - where you can see everyday items of local residents, traditional costumes, and learn about Bedouin culture (open on request)

Day 5. Dakhla → Kharga Oasis → Baris

We continue on to the largest oasis in the Western Desert - Kharga - and to places rarely visited by tourists.
A look at the Persian Temple of Hibis - a monumental structure built in the 6th century BC, with beautifully preserved wall paintings
A visit to the Al-Bagawat necropolis - one of the oldest Christian cemeteries, with surviving chapels featuring frescoes from the 4th–6th centuries
Onward to the small oasis of Baris, home to the Qasr Dush temple - a fortress and sanctuary dedicated to the sun gods
