On the pages of this photo report is the story of our journey through the Places of Power of Egypt - a country where time loses its boundaries
Our journey began in the capital of modern Egypt - Cairo - the city of a thousand minarets, where the noise of the megacity intertwines with the whisper of antiquity
An unchanging part of our tours is the mighty pyramids of Giza and Saqqara
Their mysterious architecture and power inspire awe and admiration, as if reminding us that every stone holds the secrets of the ages
Here we also stay at a hotel with a view of the great pyramids
Diving further into the atmosphere of antiquity, we head to Aswan
Travel time is just over an hour, our chosen way of getting from Cairo to Aswan is by plane
Aswan is especially loved by travelers, because here we become immersed in a different culture of Egypt - mysterious Nubia, a country that no longer exists on the map of the world, but whose people managed to carry elements of Nubian material culture through the centuries
Aswan is a city where most of the sights are located on islands, so our route first leads along the Nile to the cult center of the goddess Isis - the temple on Agilkia Island
At the end of the day, at sunset, we take a boat ride on the Nile around the islands, and on one of the islands we have dinner with a view of majestic Aswan awaiting us
For overnight stays in Aswan there are decent hotels on the east bank of the Nile and Nubian guesthouses on the west bank
We chose an unusual place for ourselves, one I fell in love with during previous tours. It is the Nubia eco-hotel on Bigeh Island, the island of the god Osiris, which has always been considered forbidden
The choice was based on several factors:
– the place is undeniably sacred, the energy here is very strong
– silence and peace, since the island is located far from the city center
– proximity to the Temple of Isis
– magnificent lotuses grow here, and this is where we catch breathtaking sunrises
From there our journey continued to the ancient towns of Kom Ombo and El Kab
These are unique places!
The temple at Kom Ombo has two axes and two sanctuaries, dedicated to two triads of gods
The temples at El Kab are special places, the ancient name of the area was Nekheb; here there are two temples - a temple carved into the rock dedicated to the goddess of magic Shesmetet, and a rare temple of Nekhbet, goddess of Upper Egypt
Next our route passes through Luxor - a true treasure of history, where every stone breathes legends of the greatest rulers of the ancient world
Luxor is called an open-air museum; the largest number of ancient monuments is found right here
For our program we chose sunrise at Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Craftsmen and the temple of the goddesses Hathor and Maat, the small temple of the goddess Isis, and sunset on the Nile
No less enchanting were our stops in Dendera and Abydos - places where nature and culture merge in harmony
Dendera is the cult center of the goddess Hathor; here there is also a small temple of the goddess Isis
At sunset we returned to Luxor and visited the illuminated Luxor Temple
A special highlight of the trip was a private visit to the Osireion - a secluded corner where the mystical energy of ancient rituals is felt especially vividly
Here, amid the ancient ruins, you feel the breath of legends, as if Osiris himself awakens in your heart a belief in eternal rebirth and renewal
The Osireion is a place closed to visitors, and it can only be accessed with a special permit issued by Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities. Time inside the Osireion is strictly limited to 2 hours, but this is quite enough to feel the energy of the place and connect to the field for shared processes
The last stop of our sacred journey was Abydos - the place where, according to legend, the boundary between two worlds lies, and the unique Temple of Seti I, which has no equal in Egypt
Here we joined up with a Ukrainian group and took a joint photo at the Place of Power on the day of the spring equinox, as a sign that we are all one on planet Earth
