Egypt has a number of sites that are officially closed to visitors, but can be accessed with a special permit from the Ministry of Antiquities.
These include the base of the Sphinx statue, the Osireion, the Black Pyramid, the Pyramid of Teti, the descent to the sarcophagus inside the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the Abusir necropolis, the ancient sun temple at Abu Ghurab, the sanctuary of the goddess Isis on Philae Island, the chapel of the goddess Sekhmet in the Karnak Temple, the sanctuary of the god Horus in the temple at Edfu, and Abdeen Palace in Cairo
It’s also possible to book any pyramid, temple, or museum during closed hours.
For example, a nighttime visit to the Great Pyramid, the Grand Egyptian Museum, or the Temple of Hathor in Dendera.
Special permits are arranged 1-2 weeks in advance; for popular dates such as 10/10, 11/11, 12/12, as well as the equinoxes and solstices, I recommend requesting them well ahead of time

The Sphinx on the Giza Plateau is a timeless mystery, and many researchers are still studying the origins of this extraordinary monument.
Currently, the Sphinx can only be viewed from a certain distance - getting close to the monument isn’t possible on a standard tour - but there’s a unique chance to watch the sunrise at its paws by arranging a special permit.

The Osireion is a truly extraordinary place, discovered by chance in the 19th century in Abydos.
This megalithic structure, similar in design to the valley temple beside the middle pyramid at Giza, was found underground.
Mainstream scholars believe it to be the tomb of the god Osiris, while alternative researchers speak of a certain extraterrestrial concept behind the site.

The Black Pyramid has an intricate network of underground corridors.
It’s probably the only pyramid with such an elaborate design.

The temples of Abu Simbel before dawn will leave no one indifferent. At night the temples are lit up, and the space becomes magical.
We usually book the 4 to 6 AM slot, because by 6 AM the temple grounds open to tourists - that’s when we head out to watch the sunrise over Lake Nasser.

The Temple of Isis in Aswan, on Philae Island, is the largest cult center dedicated to the great goddess. Being here at sunrise as part of a private visit is a special privilege. During regular hours, the temple is packed with tourists, and it can be hard to truly feel its atmosphere and depth amid the crowds.
At sunrise, the space reveals itself in a completely different way, letting you connect with its true depth.
This moment is made even more special by the fact that the sanctuary of the goddess Isis is currently officially closed to visitors - the only way inside is through a private visit.

Dendera and the Temple of Hathor at night - we call this place the “Temple of Love,” because the temple’s energies weave so gently and harmoniously into our own being.
Women literally seem to “float” in the temple’s energy, and men become more fluid too, as if the space of Dendera itself whispers: “Relax, and let the energy settle into your field.”
We recommend touring the temple during regular visiting hours first, and only then coming for a private visit, since the temple complex is very large and two hours may not be enough.
